Professor CW's Office

Since Professor Thomas seems to have disappeared while on holiday in Australia (we think she fell victim to a drop bear) I will be taking over this class. If you need to talk to me just post here or send a pm if you wish to talk in private...I'll check quite often unless I too become a drop bear's lunch...though I think I'm more likely to run across a jagular. But don't worry...I'll just transfigure it into a kitten if I see it overhead.

Bella was attempting to enjoy a sandwich from the kitchens, but it had turned into a game of keep-away with her cats. She sighed and summoned some extra lunch meat for the silly creatures, office-service was nice. She savored her sandwich nom nom nom.

Mildred knocks on the door.

"Hi, my name is Professor Mildred Hallows, I teach muggle studies. i dont know if you remember me but I worked with your father in law. If you need anything, just ask."

Bella looked confused for a moment and then she smiled. "Oh yes, you gave us a blender at our wedding!" The blender hadn't been in their possession for very long before Arthur had "borrowed" it. When she asked when he was bringing it back he had muttered something about not being able to put it back together yet. She had decided to just let it drop. She could blend things with a wand anyway.

"So umm...what's it like teaching at Hogwarts?"

"it is very interesting, be wary of the Lestrange girl, she seems to be a lot like her father".

Mildred sat down and smiled.

"how is your family, I hear you have a child coming to their first year?"

"Yes and she's miserable about it. She thinks I'll ruin all her fun, even though I won't even see her half the time." She sighed "You know, it almost makes me want to follow her around all the time, so I feel like I've earned the sullen and accusing looks."

Mildred held back a chuckle, remembering how it was to be young again.

"Well maybe she will be just as popular as her father and uncle."

"Oh well I certainly hope she's liked" said Bella "but I also want her to focus on her work more than they did. I know they obviously turned out all right, but I want Caroline to have all the opportunities open to her that a young witch could hope for. Heaven knows they were smart enough, and I was smart myself, so I think she has a good chance if she applies herself."
