The Cauldron Shop sells all different varieties and sizes of cauldrons, including copper, brass, pewter, silver, self-stirring, collapsible, and solid gold, according to a sign outside the shop, Hogwarts requires its students to have a size 2 pewter cauldron.

The Cauldron Shop Empty Re: The Cauldron Shop

Artemis enters the cauldron shop.

<shopkeeper> May I help you today?

<Artemis> I need a new aize 5 cast iron cauldron. Miny was in a most unfortunate accident involving a dragon, a thestral, and a hippopotamus.

<shopkeeper> *Points to the end of the third aisle on the left side of the shop.* Right over there.

<Artemis> Thank you! *makes purchase -- deciding to pick up a size 2 golden cauldron on a whim -- and leaves shop*

The welcome bell rings as Perpetua and her family enter the shop.

<Shopkeeper> How may I help you today? Ohh a student, we have the Hogwarts approved first year cauldrons over here.

<Perpetua> But mummy I want a gold one!!

<Shopkeeper> You may purchase a gold one also, but the only one that you will be allowed to use at hogwarts is this one. The gold may interfere with the potions that are being taught in the first year.

Perpetua looks at the shopkeeper as if he is incredibly boring.

<shopkeeper> I have some gold pendants, cauldron shaped, if you want something fancy.

Henrietta buys the pendant and standard cauldron and they leave.

The shop assistant merely glances at the two young girls as they enter, nods and returns to his book.

<Shop Assistant> 'Hogwarts approved cauldrons just there.'

His arm extended and pointed towards the third aisle. The girls made short work of picking out their cauldrons - standard size two, pewter. They admired the gold cauldrons and trudged rather grudgingly back to the counter away from them.

They paid and left rather hastily, the assistant giving them a glare as they walked past the window.

Post  Cara Granger Sat Oct 25, 2008 10:26 am

Cara walks into the shop very slowly.
The Shopkeeper turns around.
<Shopkeeper> Hello, young lady! May I assist you?
<Cara> Uhh..... Please could I have a standard puter cauldron for Hogwarts?
<Shopkeeper> Hogwarts is just over there.
<Cara> Thanks.
Cara ran over to the Hogwarts section and found the most good-looking cauldron and ran back to the shopkeeper.
Cara passes over 26 sickles as for that was the price.
Then she ran off.

Post  Caroline Weasley Sun Oct 26, 2008 10:19 pm

Caroline meandered around the shop as her mother perused the cauldrons more carefully. Something shiny caught her eye and she went over to it. It was a cauldron made of solid silver and she swayed from side to side, watching the light play off of its polished surface. She dreamed of carrying it into class and being the envy of every other student there, but her daydream was interrupted by the kaching of the cash register. She peered over to her mother as she payed for a very practical cauldron, no doubt with a very thick bottom. Uncle Percy had been sure to give a good lecture about the importance of a plentiful bottom the other night when he was over for supper.
